On a consolidated basis, the net profit of Narayana Hrudayalaya jumped 4.77 per cent to Rs 775.65 after the net profit stood at Rs 168.9 crore in the second quarter of FY23. The total operating income was Rs 1141.60 crore for Q2 of FY23 as compared to Rs 940.70 crore in the second quarter of FY22.
EBITDA remained at Rs 274.9 crore, reflecting a margin of 24.1 per cent as compared with Rs 181 crore in the second quarter of FY22. Total expenses rose 15.8 per cent year on year to Rs 946.82 crore in the second quarter of FY23. The cost of purchasing medical consumables, drugs and surgical instruments is up 12.3 per cent to Rs 268.18 crore, employee benefits expense is up 14.8 per cent to Rs 217.27 crore, and to doctors are up 14.5 per cent to Rs 191.95 crore.
During the quarter, the total borrowings, less cash & bank balance, and current investments were Rs 267.7 crore. The net debt to equity ratio was 0.14The net cash generated from operating activities remained at Rs 587.29 crore in the second quarter of FY23, more than Rs 262.96 crore in the second quarter of FY22.
