Rane had said on August 23 in his Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Raigad district: “It is a shame that the Chief Minister does not know the year of independence. While, Rane’s lawyers said that his health condition was severe, and he suffered from sugar and blood pressure problems. After hearing both sides, the court refused the custody of the union minister. It instead remanded him in judicial custody and then, on the request by his lawyers, granted Rane bail on a fine of Rs 15,000. After getting bailed, Rane tweeted, “Satyamev Jayate.”
