East-West Pipeline Ltd, earlier known as Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure Ltd, is being bought by Brookfield as per the announcement made by the company on Thursday. The enterprise valuation of 13,000 crores will be bought from Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance industry.   
Following this acquisition by Brookfield, the existing pipeline usage agreement has been reworked and the reserved capacity reduced to 33 million metric standard cubic meters per day (MMSCMD) against the 56 MMSCMD.
Brookfield is also buying Reliance Jio’s telecom tower assets in a same structured transaction that might value the portfolio at 7-8 billion dollars. The company has also filed the preceding placement memorandum for setting up infrastructure trust (InvIT). The InvIT will acquire 100% equity interest in Pipeline Infrastructure Private Limited (“PIPL”) which currently owns and operates the Pipeline, whereas  Brookfield will own 90% of it.
