MG Motor Partners Tata Power for First Superfast Charging Station in Agra

This partnership will provide sustainable mobility solutions to riders.

Morris Garages Indian subsidiary, MG Motor India has partnered with Tata Power for introducing first 60 kW Superfast EV charging station in Agra. The charging station was inaugurated at MG Agra Showroom as a part of Tech Trial Run conducted from Delhi to Agra.
The public charging station will be available 24×7 for customers and the charger comes with CCS/CHAdeMO fast-charging standards. The inauguration came as an extension of #NHforEV2020 tech trial run flagged off by senior government dignitaries at India Gate on November 25, 2020. The convoy of vehicles completed its journey with ZS EV from Delhi to Agra in single charge at the MG Agra Showroom on the same day.
Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor India speaking on the occasion said, “The launch of the EV trial run from Delhi to Agra by the Government of India is a strong step towards the adoption of EVs in our country. With the culmination of the trial run taking place at MG Agra Dealership, where we today also inaugurated a fast-charging station in partnership with Tata Power, citizens here will be able to access the public charging facility.”
The MG ZS EV comes in two variants, Excite and Exclusive starting at Rs 20.88 lakhs (ex-showroom Agra) with three colour offerings – White, Red, and Copenhagen Blue. The company claims that it has retailed more than 1,000 ZS EVs in less than a year of its launch. It also claims to strengthen India’s EV infrastructure and its working across multiple cities in UP at present.
