According to a top corporate executive, Mercedes-Benz India is getting ready to deliver a record number of vehicles this year due to a healthy order book and numerous product launches, including the introduction of three new electrified vehicles over the next three months.

The leading luxury automaker in India aims to provide a large selection of high-end electric vehicles in the domestic market and a dedicated ultra-fast charging network. Santosh Iyer, Mercedes-Benz India’s recently appointed managing director and chief executive, stated in an interview.

Iyer, now the organization’s vice president of sales and marketing, will assume his new position in January and make history by becoming the first Indian to lead Mercedes-Benz India. Martin Schwenk, who was appointed to lead Mercedes-Benz in Thailand, will be replaced by him.

In order to fulfil client deliveries for an order book of more than 6,000 vehicles, the German carmaker anticipates sales of more than 15,000 vehicles in 2022. The company has already sold more than 7,500 automobiles until June.
