The private jet, sent by India to bring back runaway diamantaire Mehul Choksi from Dominica, left the country after almost 7 days. The publicly available flight path shows the Qatar Airways jet travelling towards Madrid. Flight A7CEE had left Delhi International Airport on May 28 carrying all the necessary documents related to cases against Choksi. It had travelled to Marigot in Dominica via Madrid as Choksi’s lawyers filed a habeas corpus petition in the Dominica High Court.
The 62-year-old diamantaire, who has a pending Interpol Red Notice, arrived in front of the presiding Roseau Magistrate Court from Dominica China Friendship Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The jet took off from the Melville Hall Airport in Dominica on June 3 after the High Court adjourned the hearing on Choksi’s petition on Thursday.
