The largest car maker of the country Maruti Suzuki has reported a 10.2 percent drop in domestic sales at 92, 133 units because of of the production loss due to fire at vendor’s Subros facility.
The company has been expecting to recover the loss in production in the course of the year.
The company has reported a sales decline across segment except in the utility vehicle space for June. Whereas sales in the utility vehicle category (Gypsy, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, S-Cross) went up by 75.5 percent to 9,708 units, volumes in the passenger car space fell by 16.3 percent to 72, 551 units.
