The largest car maker of the country Maruti Suzuki has sold 1.37 lakh units in May which is higher by 11.3 percent than a year ago month.
The growth has been led by its best selling cars, Alto, Baleno & WagonR, and also by its utility vehicles like Vitara Brezza and Ertiga.
During the corresponding month of last year, the company had sold 1.23 lakh units.
The domestic sales of the company during the month, increased by 15.5 percent to 1.31 lakh units as compared with the same month of previous year whereas the exports have declined sharply by 36.3 percent to 6,286 units year-on-year.
