Maruti Suzuki has sold 1.23 lakh units in May that grew by 7.1 percent in comparison to 1.15 lakh units sold in year-ago period.
The growth has been completely driven by domestic business whereas exports declined.
Company’s domestic sales grew by 10.6 percent to 1.13 lakh units whereas exports declined 20.8 percent to 9,872 units compared to 12,466 units of corresponding period of last fiscal.
The domestic growth has been largely supported by compact cars and utility vehicles segments. Passenger vehicles sales has grown 2.6 percent in May.
