Maruti Suzuki India has said that it will be setting up an industrial training institute in Mehsana, Gujarat which would train 300 youths per year when operational, in technical trades and Japanese shopfloor practices.
According to a statement by the car market leader, “Maruti Suzuki’s Japan-India Institute of Manufacturing in Mehsana will take forward the vision of the two governments to create a pool of skilled manpower in manufacturing in India.”
He further said that the company’s effort will be for training youths in the best shopfloor practices so that they find ready employment on shopfloors and in workshops.
