Mankind Pharma, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in India, has entered the OTT space, announcing the launch of Docflix, a platform dedicated to doctors. According to the company, Docflix appears to be a play on streaming giant Netflix that will offer a wide range of scientific content to meet the various practical needs of doctors in the country.

“This OTT platform will have 20 different shows on different topics,” Mankind Pharma said. The company said it was taking steps to provide engaging scientific content created by doctors in a short video format. “There are several platforms where doctors provide routine content, but with the changing times, content delivery has become redundant and repetitive. Furthermore, given the huge gap between doctors and patients, doctors in our country have limited time,” the statement said.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of our partnership with Docflix in digital HCP engagement. Design, story and convenience are the three pillars of the platform, which will deliver unique, authentic and trusted scientific content,” said Sanjay, Senior President, India Operations, Mankind Pharma Dr Koul said, in a press release.

The company says leading physicians in the cardiovascular fieldwork with them to build reliable and authentic content that helps physicians make clinical decisions faster, helping to reduce cardiovascular mortality in the country.

“On the technology side, the team is building an AI-enabled personalization interface to provide a personalized experience on the platform. Technological innovations are designed to facilitate content consumption,” the company said.
