Larsen and Toubro (L&T) on Monday announced in a statement that its Water & Effluent Treatment Business has bagged “large orders” from the State Water & Sanitation Mission, Uttar Pradesh, to construct a water supply scheme for the Hanumanganj multi-group of villages in the districts of Ballia and Firozabad.
L&T Construction is executing six surface water-based schemes and automated ground water-based rural water supply projects in seven districts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the project classification criteria mentioned in the statement, the order value ranges from Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 crore.
Under the project, the MNC will design and construct 1 intake structure and 1 water treatment plant capacity of 148 million litres (ML) per day, 13 clear water reservoirs with an aggregate capacity of 25 ML, 504 overhead service reservoirs of aggregate capacity of 115.4 ML and 13 pumphouses among other orders.
L&T has also secured an order from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for Make-up Water System & Ash Disposal cum Ash Water Recirculation System (AWRS) Package at Talcher.
