On Friday, L&T Technology Services Limited announced its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. to provide end-to-end solutions for the global 5G private network industry through their combined core expertise in the hi-tech & telecommunication domain.

A state released by LTTS stated that, for the benefit of the customers, Qualcomm and LTTS would bring together core competencies in telecommunication solutions and services in the manufacturing and logistics/warehousing sector.

As per the proposed collaboration, for the automation and management of small cells along with pre-integrated PN solutions, Qualcomm would engage Private Networks RAN Automation technology. LTTS would boost end-to-end system design, integration, implementation of use cases, and deployment services and provide engineering consulting with edge-to-cloud orchestration and management.

Following the terms of the collaboration, L&T technology would establish an engineering centre of excellence in Santa Clara with Qualcomm’s assistance to accelerate the adoption of 5G private wireless networks. Addressing the collaboration, Abhishek Sinha, Chief Operating Officer and Board Member at L&T Technology Services, stated that as the demand for a connected world is increasing, the company is constantly leveraging its chip to cloud design expertise to experience the power of 5G and reshape the ideas of business. Further, he added that 5G is a breakthrough technology, and LTTS is well-poise to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving connectivity space in association with an industry leader like Qualcomm Technologies.
