On Wednesday the revenue department has released a list of 18 entities that have defaulted on tax payments and asked them to clear the arrears immediately. The list also includes Gujarat based Somani Cement.

According to the list released by the Central Board of Direct Taxation, the companies include Blue Information Technology having a tax arrears of Rs 75.11 crore,Jupiter Business Ltd (Rs 21.31 crore), Appletech Solutions (Rs 27.07 crore) and Hirak Biotech (Rs 18.54 crore). All these firms are based in Ahmedabad.

The other companies that are based in Ahmedabad which are figured in the defaulters list include Icon Bio Pharma & Healthcare Ltd (Rs 17.69 crore), Banyan & Berry Alloys (Rs 17.48 crore), Laxminarayan T Thakkar (Rs 12.49 crore).

Surat based companies which are mentioned in the list includes Virag Dyeing & Printing (Rs 18.57 crore), Kunvar Ajay Food Pvt Ltd (15 crore), Poonam Induatries (Rs 15.84 crore). Somani Cement has Rs 27.47 crore tax arrears.

Other Jaipur based companies in the list are Goldsukh Trade India (Rs 75.47 crore), Kolkata-based Victor Credit & Construction (Rs 13.81 crore), Mumbai-based Noble Merchandise (Rs 11.93 crore). The list also include legal heir of Pune-based G K Dharne involving a tax default of Rs 38.31 crore.
