On Thursday, the son of a Late Dictator named Sworn was selected for Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr, 64, won last month’s elections by a landslide, securing the most significant victory since his father and namesake were ousted by a popular revolt in 1986.
He succeeded the hugely popular Rodrigo Duterte, who gained international infamy for his deadly drug war and threatened to kill suspected dealers after leaving office.
Marcos Jr took the oath at midday (0400 GMT) in a public ceremony at the National Museum in Manila in front of hundreds of local and foreign dignitaries, journalists and supporters.
Imelda sitting is the mother of Marco Jr with his age of, 92 years old. He praised the regime for patriarchs, which is to be described as a dark period of rights related to human abuse and corruption.
