KTM has brought its 250 Adventure in India after its global debut a year-ago. The KTM 250 Adventure is priced at Rs 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs 56,000 cheaper than its bigger 390 Adventure variant. Since last month, the bookings for the KTM 250 ADV were opened, while the deliveries will begin in few days from now.
In November 2019, the 250 Adventure was unveiled separately for South East Asia, as the 390 Adventure broke teaser at the EICMA at the same time. Both the 250 and 390 Adventure shares the trellis frame and a rally-derived design language.
Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto speaking on the launch event said, “Our Adventure range is conceptualized to address this trend. Based on the KTM 390 Adventure platform, the all-new KTM 250 Adventure is a Travel-Enduro motorcycle that appeals to a wide spectrum of riders from every part of the world.”
The KTM 250 Adventure comes with a 14.5 litre fuel tank and has 248 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which produces 29.5 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch and has an LCD screen with selectable off-road ABS.
The suspension in the 250 Adventure is carried out by 43 mm WP APEX USD forks up front and a rear monoshock. On comparing the 250 Adventure with 390 Adventure, it does not miss a lot on ride-by-wire and the full-LED headlamp.
