Kotak Mahindra Bank Appoints Bhavnish Lathia as Director of Customer Experience

An individual lender to lead the client experience function for the bank, Bhavnish Lathia, was appointed as the customer experience chief by Kotak Mahindra Bank on Thursday. To lead the customer experience function for the bank, private lender Kotak Mahindra Bank on Thursday announced the appointment of Bhavnish Lathia as the chief of customer experience.


Lathia has 25 years of experience across all business functions, including product management, e-commerce, marketing, engineering, and analytics, primarily focusing on improving the customer experience. At that time, she spent 18 years at Amazon.

Lathia left Amazon to work as the chief product officer for Valo Health, where he was in charge of engineering, machine learning, and product management. According to Kotak Mahindra Bank’s joint managing director, Dipak Gupta, the bank firmly believes that solid client relationships are essential for company growth and that providing consumers with consistently positive experiences is its North Star.


As the bank enters its next phase of growth, Gupta said, “We are confident that his sharp customer focus, deep curiosity, and wealth of product, technology, and operations knowledge will be an asset to the bank.”

Lathia has more than 40 patents (approved and filed) in distributed computing, e-commerce, web services, and machine learning. He holds an MBA from California State University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana.
