Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met the British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, on Wednesday during the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024.
CM Siddaramaiah emphasised Karnataka’s support for investors, highlighting its industry-friendly environment and skilled workforce. He showcased the state’s “highly progressive” industry policy and invited investments under the ‘Queen City project.’
The CM mentioned the upcoming Global Investors Meet in February, offering opportunities for industries in Bengaluru and beyond. He assured investors full support, especially for investments in Tier-2 cities, backed by excellent air connectivity.
At least 15 UK-based firms are taking part in the Bengaluru Tech Summit.
British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron confirmed UK delegations will join the Global Investors Meet and Aero India event in February 2025.
Cameron also mentioned that 30 students from Karnataka’s government colleges attend a 15-day academic program in London.
A new initiative will provide scholarships for female students from Karnataka’s government colleges for postgraduate studies in the UK, benefiting 15 students this year.
The meeting included Deputy High Commissioner Chandru Iyer, Additional Chief Secretary LK Atheek, Political Secretary Nasir Ahmed, and Govindaraju.
The three-day Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024, which began on 19th November, will conclude today.
