Kalpataru Projects Shares Gained 7% on Securing Orders Worth Rs 2,445 crore

With these orders, our year-to-date order inflow stands at approximately Rs 14,100 crore.

Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) shares saw a 7% rise during the early trading hours on March 14 after the company announced receiving orders along with its Joint Ventures (JVs) and international subsidiaries worth Rs 2,445 crore.

The company reported that two of its verticals, namely transmission and distribution (T&D) and building and factories (B&F), received the orders. The T&D business secured orders worth Rs 2,366 crore in India and overseas, while B&F got orders worth Rs 79 crore.

Manish Mohnot, the company’s MD & CEO, expressed optimism about T&D opportunities in India, given the country’s significant focus on boosting the national transmission system and integrating renewable power. He further added that these orders will significantly strengthen the company’s domestic T&D order book and provide good visibility for future growth.

These recent order wins will be a significant boost to the company’s order book, which stood at Rs 620 crore at the end of the December quarter.

Moreover, the company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s energy major, to carry out EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) work for three packages of the third expansion phase of the Master Gas System Network (MGS-3) in the country.

The project requires laying over 800 km of lateral gas pipeline, and the exact contract value of the three packages will be confirmed upon execution of the contract.

KPIL is involved in a variety of industries, including Power Transmission & Distribution, Buildings & Factories, Water Supply & Irrigation, Railways, Oil & Gas Pipelines, Urban Mobility (Flyovers & Metro Rail), Highways, and Airports. They are currently working on projects in more than 30 countries and have a presence in over 70 countries worldwide.

At 2:43 pm, the shares of Kalpataru Projects were trading 4.28% higher at Rs 1,036.75 on NSE.
