Vedanta Limited board has provided its approval to the appointment of K Venkataramanan as an independent non-executive director for a period of three years with effect from April 1, 2017.
The re-appointment of Thomas Albanese, a whole -time director & CEO has also been approved by the board for a further period till August 31, 2017 subject to approval of shareholders in the next general meeting.
Mr Venkataramanan has been a former CEO & Managing Director, Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) from April, 2012 and also served on the L&T board from May 1999 until his retirement in September 2015.
