JTL Industries Ltd announced on Thursday that it has secured a Rs 265 crore order to supply 36,000 metric tonnes of galvanised mild steel (GMS) tubes for a government project under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Initiated by the Ministry of Jal Shakti in 2019 and championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Jal Jeevan Mission aims to ensure every rural household receives a functional tap connection by 2030, the company highlighted.
In its filing, the company said, “JTL Industries has emerged as the L1 bidder for the supply of 36,000 MT of GMS tubes for the Jal Jeevan Mission project in Jammu. This Rs 265 crore contract reinforces our capabilities in delivering high-quality products that comply with stringent government standards.”
The Jal Jeevan Mission targets essential challenges of water accessibility and quality, aiming to enhance rural health and sanitation while reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases.
JTL Industries, a prominent manufacturer of electric resistance welded steel pipes in India, has a production capacity of approximately 7 lakh tonnes. The company operates manufacturing facilities across Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Malegaon (Maharashtra), and Mandi and Derabassi (Punjab).
