Infosys Expands Partnership with Microsoft to Boost Cloud and GenAI adoption

Infosys will also be a key supplier in supporting cloud and generative AI (GenAI) work for Microsoft's business customers.

The IT company Infosys has expanded its partnership with Microsoft to help more customers worldwide use generative artificial intelligence and Microsoft’s cloud platform, Azure. Infosys will also be a key supplier in supporting cloud and generative AI (GenAI) work for Microsoft’s business customers.

According to a regulatory filing, Microsoft’s generative AI suite will be added to Infosys’ Solution IP portfolio to bring new capabilities to the market and help clients save money, grow, and be more flexible.

Nicole Dezen, Microsoft’s Chief Partner Officer, said, “Our expanded collaboration with Infosys will transform industries, enhance business operations, elevate employee experiences, and deliver new value for customers. Together, we will harness the power of generative AI to deliver innovative solutions, drive AI adoption and enable unprecedented innovation for customers.”

The collaboration aims to provide new solutions that improve customer experiences and encourage businesses to use AI. This includes combining Microsoft’s generative AI offerings with Infosys’ existing solutions, such as Infosys Topaz, Cobalt, and Aster.

The partnership will also focus on sharing best practices for Responsible AI. Responsible AI aims to incorporate ethical principles into AI applications and processes to reduce the risks and adverse effects of using AI while maximising positive results.

Anand Swaminathan, Executive Vice President (EVP) and Global Industry Leader – Communications, Media and Technology, Infosys, said the collaboration addresses various business problems through a customer-focused approach, providing scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency across key sectors like finance, healthcare, supply chain, and telecommunications.

The partnership started when Infosys started using GitHub Copilot, which led to big improvements in updating and finishing code. Infosys is recognised as a top user of GitHub Copilot, with over 18,000 developers creating more than 7 million lines of code using this tool.
