IndusInd Bank gets upto $200 mn loan(around Rs.1282 crore) from the Asian Development Bank(ADB) to serve low income women borrowers in rural areas.
As per an official the loan will go towards the IndusInd Bank’s micro-finance activities. According to the loan agreement,about 95% of ABD funding will go towards credit to women borrowers.
The bank stated, at least 70% of the number of loans will be given to less developed states. This will help bank to increase its efforts to finance under served people of the country in the less developed states.
