Shares of Indoco Remedies Ltd surged 3% on 4 October after the company announced receiving final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets 10 mg (OTC).

In its regulatory filing, the company said that they have received final approval from the USFDA for Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets 10 mg (OTC), which is a generic equivalent of the reference listed drug (RLD), Zyrtec Allergy Tablets, 10 mg of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. 

The Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets will be produced at Indoco, which is their manufacturing facility located at L-14, Verna Industrial Area, Verna, Goa. 

The Cetirizine Hydrochloride tablets are used to relieve symptoms of hay fever and other allergic conditions.

Its strong brand portfolio spans therapeutic areas like gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular, anti-diabetic, ophthalmic, and more across eight domestic marketing divisions.

At 2:25 pm, the shares of Indoco Remedies were trading 0.66% higher at Rs 337.30 on NSE.
