After beating both the billionaires’ Jeff Bezos and France’s Bernard Arnault, Indian Billionaire and Business Tycoon Gautam Adani has now become the World’s Second Richest Person, according to the report by Forbes Real-time Billionaires. Currently, his wealth is estimated to be worth around $155.7 billion.

He is now only a step behind Elon Musk, whose net worth is estimated at around $273.5 billion. According to recent data, Adani’s wealth jumped $5.5 billion or 3.64% on Friday, September 16, 2022, following a rally in Adani Group stocks. These are the seven of which are listed on Dalal Street. Bernard Arnault, who superintends the Luxury Goods Company LVMH, is now the third richest in the world, estimating his family’s net worth to totalling around $155.2 billion.

Adani has also dethroned Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, now the fourth richest person on the list, with a wealth of $149.7 billion. As of Thursday, the combined market capitalisation total of all the Adani Group stocks stood at Rs 20.11 lakh crore as four of the counters have more than doubled so far in the calendar year.

It also includes Bill Gates ($105.3 billion), Warren Buffett ($96.5 billion), Mukesh Ambani ($92.6 billion), and Google co-founders Larry Page ($89 billion) and Sergey Brin ($85.4 billion).
