The “Global IndiaAI Summit 2024” is scheduled for July 3rd (Day 1) and 4th (Day 2) in New Delhi. As the Lead Chair of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), India will host member countries and experts to promote safe, secure, and trustworthy AI.
This summit will focus on key areas such as Compute Capacity, Foundational Models, Datasets, Application Development, Future Skills, Startup Financing, and Safe and Trusted AI. The goal is to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, positioning India as a global leader in AI innovation. It will ensure AI benefits are accessible to all, and contribute to socio-economic development.
Day 1 Session will include –
Large Language Models: This session will focus on large language models (LLMs) and large multimodal models (LMMs), addressing India’s unique linguistic and cultural diversity. It aims to promote responsible AI practices and encourage collaboration among indigenous communities, academia, industry, and startups.
GPAI Convening on Global Health and AI: This gathering aims to gather insights on the use of AI in healthcare, mainly focusing on challenges faced by global south countries.
Real-World AI Solutions: This session will present case studies and panel discussions on real-world AI solutions, identifying gaps in AI development and deployment.
India’s Infrastructure Readiness for AI: This panel discussion will focus on India’s infrastructure readiness for AI and the critical role of a skilled workforce.
Ensuring Safety, Trust, and Governance in the AI Age: This session will highlight India’s commitment to leveraging AI for societal good, focusing on ethical guidelines, international cooperation, and developing safe and trusted AI.
Collaborative AI on Global Partnership (CAIGP): The CAIGP Convening will bring together GPAI members, AI experts, and industry representatives to address the global AI divide.
Day 2 Session will include –
Empowering Talent through AI Education & Skilling: This session will focus on AI education and skilling, addressing industry demand, challenges, and growth opportunities.
AI for Global Good – Empowering the Global South: This session will bring together the Global South countries to discuss specific challenges and priorities in AI development.
From Seed to Scale – Empowering India’s Startup Ecosystem: This session aims to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem, ensuring AI startups are well-equipped to innovate and expand.
Data Ecosystem: This session will focus on developing resilient and scalable data infrastructure, emphasising robust data governance frameworks, data sharing, and mitigating data bias to ensure ethical AI systems.
AI Competency Framework for Public Sector: This session will explore India’s public sector’s AI readiness, referencing the UNESCO Report on AI competencies and the Capacity Building Commission’s framework for AI upskilling.
Sustainable Agriculture: This session will focus on Crop Advisory, Market Access and Financial Services for Farmers, and Climate Resilient Agriculture.
