Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has raised the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Rs 2 per kg with effect from May 21. According to an ANI report, the cost of CNG in Delhi is currently at Rs 75.61 per kg.
In Gurgaon’s Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, the price of CNG rose from Rs 83.94 per kg to Rs 78.17 per kg. Gas distributors have been raising prices since October last year due to higher domestic and international gas prices.
Rising prices will likely hit not just private car owners, but car drivers and commercial vehicle owners as their livelihoods suffer.
