The ICICI Bank has sold 9 percent stake in its general insurance venture ICICI Lombard whereas 2 percent stake in ICICI Prudential which is its life insurance subsidiary for around Rs 2,200 crore.
ICICI Bank has said in a statement that the bank has sold 9 percent shareholding in ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company to its joint venture partner Fairfax Financial Holdings.
It stated that “Following the receipt of the requisite approvals, the bank completed the transfer of the shares on March 31.”
