Hyundai officially entered Gurugram with the inauguration of its new mega-corporate headquarters, which is worth Rs 1,000 crores. Hyundai’s new corporate office is built on an area of over 28,000 square meters. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal inaugurated the corporate headquarters.
Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director and SIAM President Mr Kenichi Ayukawa also attended the inauguration ceremony. “I am here as the president of auto industry body SIAM, on the request of Hyundai. I do not have anything more to add here,” Ayukawa said. The mega-corporate headquarter also features environmental elements like 50kw solar panels on the rooftop, 14 charging units for EVs, and a 400 sq mt green wall with plants.

Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO SS Kim, in the inauguration event, said, “With a strong commitment towards people and environment, this headquarters will be a focal point of innovation and achieve Hyundai India’s vision of ‘Progress for the People, Prosperity for the Planet’. This new building stands as a symbol of the company’s journey of togetherness with the people of India.” India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is thinking to invest about Rs 18,000 crore in the new manufacturing facility in Haryana. The new plant will take the company’s Gurugram-based office and will have an installed production capacity of 7.5-10 lakh units per year.
