The 17th edition of the two-day Hindustan Times Leadership Summit (HTLS) began today in New Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivering the inaugural address. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and Netflix’s founder and CEO Reed Hastings will among the other key speakers during the event. Swimming champion Michael Phelps, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, actors Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, among others, will also speak their minds during the summit.
PM Modi said in his speech, there are a lot of good things in corporate culture. We are promoting professionalism, rather than a privilege. Despite law and order is a state subject, interconnection among states is important from the security point of view. Also, Modi said, the government will bring schemes worth Rs 100 lakh crore. There should not be any pressure on the citizen from the government.
