Honda Motorcycles Signs Agreement with IT Infrastructure Firm Kyndryl

On Thursday, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India said it has entered into an exclusive partnership with IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl.

Through this partnership, Kyndryl will help Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) enhance its manufacturing plant’s IT and safety transformation journey, the company said in a statement.

Currently, Kyndryl manages infrastructure services for factory production applications and enterprise and dealer management systems for all HMSI dealers.

HMSI said the new alliance with Kyndryl will increase the manageability and uptime of infrastructure through increased automation, as well as enhance the company’s cybersecurity and resiliency.

Lingraju Sawkar, President, Kyndryl India, said: “Kyndryl’s proven expertise in infrastructure management, automation and cloud transformation, coupled with a deep understanding of HMSI’s key operations, allows us to anticipate and build a future resilience and agile framework”.

Additionally, Kyndryl will automate HMSI’s delivery and IT framework to address process and compliance challenges posed by IT sprawl, the statement said.

“This integration will provide a single automated execution dashboard to monitor ongoing IT infrastructure systems, as well as health checks such as patches, backup status and configuration,” it added.

HMSI has four manufacturing plants in Manesar (Haryana), Tapukara (Rajasthan), Narsapura (Karnataka) and Vithalapur (Gujarat).

It has a network of over 6,000 touchpoints and is supported by more than 280 Best Deals locations that provide solutions for buying, selling and exchanging Honda two-wheelers in more than 200 cities.
