Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, announced on Thursday the promotion of Vipul Maheshwari to Senior Vice President of Product and Data Analytics.
Vipul Maheshwari, an IIT Delhi alumnus, has been with Honasa Consumer for over four years, specializing in analytics and data science. He previously worked at Delhivery and Global Analytics India Pvt Ltd.
Maheshwari has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Product and Data Analytics and will continue to lead the integration of advanced analytics into product development to drive data-driven innovation.
He expressed excitement about leading Honasa’s efforts to use advanced analytics and product development to create more personalized and efficient consumer experiences.
Maheshwari’s appointment follows a 7% decline in Honasa’s operating revenue to Rs 462 crore for the September quarter and a net loss of Rs 19 crore, compared to a profit of Rs 30 crore in the same quarter last year.
Honasa also appointed Kaustav Guha as Vice President of Research & Development to strengthen its R&D capabilities.
In addition to Mamaearth, Honasa Consumer owns five other brands: The Derma Co, Aqualogica, Dr Sheth’s, BBlunt, and Staze. It discontinued its Ayurvedic brand, Ayuga, in the April quarter.
Co-founder and CEO Varun Alagh highlighted that data-driven decision-making has been key to the company’s growth and that Maheshwari’s expertise in analytics has been vital in transforming complex data into actionable insights.
Alagh stated that Maheshwari has demonstrated leadership qualities for years, making his new role a natural progression.
