HMD Global which is an exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand launched Nokia 6.1 Plus in the Indian market after much await with the price tag of Rs.15,999. The smartphone which was launched in China and Hong Kong under the brand name of Nokia X6 was with the price tag of CNY 1499 (Rs. 16000) and HKD 2288 (Rs. 20100).
In the event held today that was live streamed through company’s Facebook page and other Youtube channels announced that the smartphone will be available exclusively through Flipkart. The phone will go on sale from 30th August and can be only be purchased through Flipkart or Nokia.com. The phone will be offered in 3 different colors; Black, Blue, and White.
Some of the key features of the smartphone are a notch 5.8 inch full HD display with a resolution of 2280×1080. The phone will also feature 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone will be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM. The phone will come in a single variant of 64GB inbuilt storage with expandable memory up to 400GB.
The Smartphone will house an AI-powered dual rear camera of 16+5 MP and a front camera of 16MP along with 3060 mAh 3.0 quick charge battery. The Smartphone OS runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and features Android One based UI.
The company also announced another Smartphone Nokia 5.1 in the event but did not disclose its release date.
