HFCL has secured contracts totalling Rs 1,770 crore from SWSM for EPC services, including laying fibre optic cables to implement a rural water supply network at the Varanasi Revenue Department in Uttar Pradesh. This will significantly increase the company’s revenue and profitability. Fibre optic cables so laid will also improve the operation and maintenance of the network.
The contract value for materials and services is Rs 1,414 crore, while for operation and maintenance services, Rs 356 crore has been earmarked. The companies with JWIL Infra Limited as the consortium partner will execute the project. The project was to be executed within 18 months, and the company had to provide warranty support for the next year and O&M for the subsequent ten years.
