Hero MotoCorp said on Thursday, 1 August, that it has appointed Terrafirma Motors Corporation, part of the Columbian Group of Companies, as its new distributor to enter the Filipino market.
This move aims to boost its international presence and reach a broader market. CEO Niranjan Gupta stated that entering the Philippines is key to expanding their global footprint.
Partnering with Terrafirma Motors Corporation will help Hero MotoCorp quickly establish and grow in the Philippine market.
TMC will be the official assemblage and distributor for Hero MotoCorp in the Philippines. This partnership was sealed last October 2022.
TMC Chairman Bienvenido Sanvictores Santos expressed elation over the tie-up and was optimistic that high-quality products from Hero MotoCorp would be appreciated by Filipino consumers.
An assembly unit and parts warehouse have been set up at TMC’s facility in Laguna, Philippines, covering over 6,000 square meters with an annual capacity of 150,000 units.
The assembly unit will produce popular Hero MotoCorp models, including the Xpulse 200 4V, Hunk 160R 4V, and Xoom 110 scooter.
Retail operations have started with the following prices:
- Xpulse 200 4V: PHP 140,000
- Hunk 160R 4V: PHP 99,900
- Xoom 110: PHP 69,900
Every vehicle sold has a two-year or 24,000-kilometer warranty. Hero MotoCorp and TMC have also established more than 350 customer touchpoints for sales, service, and spares.
Hero MotoCorp operates tech centres in India and Germany and has manufacturing facilities in India, Colombia, and Bangladesh.
