The festive season in India is 32 days starting from Navratras to Bhai Duj. Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer, registered a retail growth of 20 per cent over the festive period of FY22. The sales increased for Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar and Karnataka. Also, the festive period has enabled the company to register a significant gain in its market share.
“To mark the beginning of this year’s auspicious festive season, Hero MotoCorp, launched the Hero GIFT- Grand Indian Festival of Trust. The initiative included exciting model refreshes, retail benefits, a slew of financing schemes, pre-booking offers and much more,” the company said in a statement.
On a consolidated basis, the company’s net profit recorded a 71 per cent jump to Rs 625 crore in the first quarter of FY23 from Rs 365 crore in the first quarter of FY22. In Q1FY23, Revenue from operations stood at Rs 8,393 crore against 53 per cent over Q1FY22. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Hero MotoCorp’s shares rose 1.09 per cent to Rs 2678.
