On Wednesday the housing finance lender HDFC has reported a 9.6 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 2,646.35 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
In the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal, the company had reported a net profit of Rs 2,414.70 crore, HDFC said in a statement.
The total income on consolidated basis rose to Rs 14,726.18 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 as against Rs 12,266.47 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
For the financial year 2014-15, the board has proposed a final dividend of Rs 13 per equity share of a face value of Rs 2 each.
The total dividend for the year (including the interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share) is Rs 15 per equity share as against Rs 14 per equity share for the previous year.
