HDFC Bank has partnered with Niki.ai which is an artificial intelligent firm funded by Ratan Tata & Ronnie Screwvala for brining in ‘conversational banking’ chatbots which facilitate commerce and banking transactions without getting out of the chat window.
As per HDFC Bank’s digital banking head, Nitin Chugh, the chatbot was designed to work as a virtual concierge service.
The HDFC Bank on-chat app has been available for anyone and not just for those with HDFC bank accounts.
“The chat opens a payment gateway through which transactions can be made using any bank account,” he said.
