The GST Council has approved staggered roll out of E-Way Bill, from April 15. It has also deferred reverse charge mechanism till July 1.
As per sources, the states will be divided into 4 lots for staggered roll out of E-Way Bill. There has been no conclusive decision on returns simplification and the current system for returns simplification extended for 3 months.
Further, from April-1, inter state transport of goods will see levy of e-way bill and tax exemption for exporters have been extended by 6 months.
