On Friday, President Droupadi Murmu announced that the government will invest Rs 28,000 crore to establish 12 industrial nodes and develop 100 industrial parks across the country.
These industrial areas will be located in Khurpia (Uttarakhand), Rajpura-Patiala (Punjab), Dighi (Maharashtra), Palakkad (Kerala), Agra, Prayagraj (UP), Gaya (Bihar), Zaheerabad (Telangana), Orvakal, Kopparthy (AP), and Jodhpur-Pali (Rajasthan).
They will be developed as greenfield smart cities with advanced infrastructure focused on sustainability and efficiency.
The government has also implemented measures to promote ease of doing business and supports small entrepreneurs through initiatives like the Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSMEs and e-commerce export hubs.
Over 40,000 regulations have been simplified, and 3,500 provisions have been decriminalised to address modern challenges.
