A 2.5 percent stake has been sold by the government in Larsen & Toubro to state-run entities, including SBI and LIC for about Rs 4,200 crore.
As per the block deals available on stock exchanges, the transaction has been done through the Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India (SUUTI).
The government was holding 6.55 percent stake in L&T and the shareholding after the sale has decreased to a little over 4 Percent.
