Govt plans new route connecting Noida airport to NH-34

The new route aims to improve airport accessibility from nearby districts.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is exploring ways to enhance connectivity between the Noida International Airport in Jewar and National Highway 34 (NH-34), which runs through Sikandrabad in Bulandshahr. Discussions with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) are underway to identify potential route alignments and develop a detailed proposal for the project.

Land acquisition for the Noida airport disrupted direct access to Sikandrabad via the Jewar-Sikandrabad road, leading to the construction of an alternative route through Jahangirpur and Jhajhar.

YEIDA is considering a new link road from the airport to Khurja, where NH-34 passes, but the final route will be determined by a feasibility study and detailed project report (DPR).

The new route aims to improve airport accessibility from nearby districts and connect with key cities like Haridwar, Meerut, and Bulandshahr.

The government is working on a 31 km stretch linking the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the airport and a proposed expressway connecting the Ganga Expressway with the airport.

Officials ensure these developments align properly, intending to create a better transportation network around the airport for smoother travel and regional growth.
