A proposal of Infosys for setting up an IT special economic zone (SEZ) in West Bengal has been rejected by the government on account of lack of state’s recommendation.
The decision had been taken in a meeting of the Board of Approval (BoA), headed by the Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia, on August 12.
The meeting of the BoA says that “After deliberations, the board rejected the proposal due to lack of recommendation from the state government.”
