On Wednesday, the government has provided its approval to two highway projects worth around Rs 4,300 crore.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has provided the approval to four-laning of the Lucknow-Sultanpur section on National Highway-56 in Uttar Pradesh at an estimated cost of Rs 2844.72 crore.
The second project of two-laning, with the formation of four lanes, of the Shimla Bypass (Kaithlighat to Shimla section) on National Highway-22 in Himachal Pradesh has been approved at a cost of Rs 1583.18 crore.
The proposal to create flexibility in the use of domestic coal has also been approved by the Cabinet.
