Goa Investment Promotion Board Sanctioned 6 projects for Rs 310 Crore

Goa Investment Promotion Board approved 6 projects bringing in Rs 310 crore investment and 2,450 jobs.

The Goa Investment Promotion Board (IPB) has permitted a “mini-India theme park” and five new projects worth Rs 310 crore, which would also serve nearly 2,500 people, state Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho said.

After the meeting on Tuesday, the board endorsed the Pune-based Bramhacorp Theme Park LLP to set up the park on private land at Pernem taluka in North Goa district, which is close to the Manohar International Airport, Godinho told newspersons after the meeting.

Being part of the mini-India theme park, the company plans to show miniature models of historical monuments with folk dances, festivals, spices, and cuisines of the country.

“The board controlled by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant permitted six investment suggestions in the state to the tune of Rs 310 crore and employment possible for 2,450 people,” said Godinho, an associate of the IPB.

The minister said that an investment by a secondary of the Kirloskar Group was among the projects permitted on Tuesday.

Karad Projects and Motors Limited’s subsidiary aims to start procedures and generate more than 1,100 jobs along the Sanquelim-Amona belt.
