Shares of Genus Power Infrastructures were locked in a 5% upper Circuit during the trading session of 1 September after its step-down wholly owned subsidiary secured a Rs 2,247.37 crore smart meter order.
The order includes designing an advanced metering infrastructure system with installation, supply, and commissioning of FMS of 24.18 lakh smart prepaid meters, system meters including OT meters with corresponding energy accounting under the DBFOOT model.
The company said in an exchange filing that the company foresees a robust surge in order volumes to continue in the upcoming quarters of the current fiscal year.
This is the third such order the company has received in the past two months.
The total order book now stands at Rs 11,000 crore, which further strengthens the company’s position as the leading provider of smart metering solutions in India.
Genus Power Infrastructure is leading the market in the meters segment and has developed “smart metering solutions”.
Last month, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company received a letter of award of Rs 2,209.84 crore to provide advanced metering infrastructure under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme.
