Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for the year 2022 in Parliament at 11:00 am today. This will be the second paperless budget due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The backdrop for the Budget presentation was done by the Economic Survey which shows that the economy is predicted to expand at around 8 to 8.5 per cent in 2022-23 fiscal. The Budget’s focus is expected to be on reviving India’s economy from the pandemic and further boosting up India’s healthcare system to be secure against any such pandemic in the future.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Railways Communications and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, and other ministers have also arrived at the Parliament for the presentation of the Budget 2022.
