India’s largest homegrown E-commerce platform Flipkart announced its foray into the hospitality sector. Flipkart has added a new hotel-booking feature on its platform to strengthen its offering in the travelling sector. The launch of Flipkart Hotels would give customers access to book hotel rooms in more than 3 lakh domestic and international hotels.

Flipkart Hotel is backed by Cleartrip Cleartrip’s deep understanding of travel customers and sectors would be advantageous for Flipkart. The new feature is available on the Flipkart app. Flipkart Hotel would provide a hassle-free booking experience and communication sufficiency using common messaging apps.

Flipkart stated that, by launching the hotel services, the company aims to offer a host of affordable benefits for customers, including easy EMI options, flexible travel, and booking-related policies. Further, it adds that Flipkart Hotel would make travelling an affordable and budget-friendly option for customers.

In addition, this feature would provide attractive deals, enhance the experiences, and improve services. A dedicated customer care centre for convenience, customer support, and user-related queries has also been set up. Adarsh Menon, Senior Vice President of Flipkart, enthusiastically announced the launching of Flipkart hotel on the Flipkart app, which will provide access to affordable hotel stays for Flipkart users. Mentioning the Flipkart flight, Menon stated, “Flipkart Flight is on a steady path of growth in the travel industry since we entered this space.”
