Announcing the notification of the New Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2022 through social media, Yadav said that the rules provide a framework to strengthen the circular economy of plastic packaging waste and promote options for plastic. The guidelines not only give a framework to strengthen the circular economy of plastic packaging waste but also promote the development of new alternatives to plastics. They deliver a roadmap for businesses to move towards sustainable plastic packaging, Yadav said on aTwitter.
