In August 2022, Eicher Motors’ unlisted subsidiary, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), sold 5,003 units of commercial vehicles (CV), which is registering a rise of 4.4 per cent yearly from 4,793 units sold in August of last year. The sales of the company’s CV dropped 16.37 per cent from 5982 units sold in July 2022.

Total domestic sales of Eicher trucks & buses grew at 17.2 per cent to 4,530 units, while total exports slumped 54.8 per cent to 363 units over August last year. Total Sales of Volvo trucks & buses declined 12.7 per cent to 110 units in August 2022 compared to 126 units sold in August 2021.
Eicher Motors’ net profit has zoomed at 157.81 per cent to Rs 611 crore in the first quarter of FY22. The consolidated revenue from operations was recorded at Rs 3,397 crore, compared to Rs 1,974 crore for FY 2021-22. Earning Before Interest Tax Depreciation, Amortisation (EBITA) was Rs 831 crore compared to Rs 363 crore in the first quarter of FY22. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Eicher Motors’ shares were up at 0.61 per cent to Rs 3379.75.
